YOU'LL BE MY AMERICAN MOY Moyes 'in frame for USA job' after leaving West Ham in summer

DAVID MOYES is a contender for the United States job after leaving West Ham at the end of last season.

The 55-year-old is interested in taking over as a permanent replacement for Bruce Arena, who resigned after failing to qualify for Russia 2018.
Former Everton, Manchester United , Sunderland and Real Sociedad gaffer Moyes has alerted the United States Soccer Federation over the vacant post, according to the Sunday Times .
Dave Strachan is currently the interim head coach and Moyes' tarnished reputation was saved as he steered the Hammers to 13th in the Premier League last season.
Moyes took over from Slaven Bilic in November after West Ham slid into the relegation zone.
The Scot won eight Premier League games during his six months in East London and clinched a confidence-boosting 1-0 win over Chelsea to claim his first three points in the job.
But current Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini still thinks the club are suffering from a lack of confidence after losing their opening two games this term.
He said: "Yes, I think so. That's one of the reasons why in the second half we changed so much and tried to keep it 1-0.
"I don't think it's the stadium and I don't think it's playing here. What they need is to try work for 90 minutes the way we did for 45 minutes today.
"We knew before we would need time with so many new players, management and style of play. Most of all we need to forget about last season.
"We need to recover the trust in each player and what they can do. We must recover the trust as a club and that's what we must do in the next week.
